Bohol pt. 1

So... I actually didn't get to blog for my last day in Makati, but it wasn't that exciting. All we did was go to the Mall of Asia (another gigantic mall). Later on we met up with some of my mom's friends from high school. It was quite endearing to see my mom actually socialize comfortably. In the states she's always pretty timid and she actually hates the idea of meeting new people... so it was nice to see this different side to her.

I posted my blog a little late because I saved it as a draft and then our internet account for the hotel expired so I wasn't actually able to post...

So today we flew into Bohol which is a provincial region. TOTALLY different from the city... we're going to spend a good 4 days here so this will be a humbling experience I'm sure. By the time we were settled it was already dinner time. We went out to this restaurant that seriously felt like it was in the middle of the jungle (hahaha...) that seemed like it would've had an amazing view during the day time.

We didn't do anything afterwards since it's pretty dark out now and the lady at the front desk told us not to walk around so late at night... funny story though, we took a little stroll just to digest before we went back up to our rooms, and as we were passing a group of little kids they yelled something at us which I translated as, "HEY YOU WHITE PIG!" which was probably directed towards my stepdad hahahahaha X_X... poor guy.

We're going to have a big day of exploration tomorrow that I'm looking forward too so I gotta rest up. I'm really enjoying my time here despite all the stray doggies that make me sad =[
